Founders Note
Moi began in 2019 with a small kitchen, a clear vision, and years of quiet passion behind it.
My journey with dessert started long before culinary school ,as a kid baking for family and friends, and later, as a CAT student who found more comfort in the kitchen than in books. What began as an escape slowly revealed itself as home.
Following that instinct led me to Le Cordon Bleu, London, where discipline, technique, and respect for craft shaped everything I believe in today. When I returned to Ahmedabad, I knew I didn’t want to do something generic. I wanted to build a space that brought finesse and emotion together, adapted to Indian sensibilities and our love for flavours with soul. That’s how Moi took shape.
Since then, Moi has grown into two warm dessert studios, a small but dedicated team, and a community that has stood by us through every festival rush, slow morning, and chaotic season of learning. Those years have taught us resilience, patience, and the importance of staying rooted in intention.
Today, we still work the way we began, in small batches, with care, curiosity, and an obsession with detail. Whether it’s a cake, a tart, or a plated dessert, we focus on balance, texture, and the feeling it leaves behind. Technique matters, but emotion matters just as much.
To everyone who has celebrated your moments, milestones, heartbreaks, and sweet cravings with us, thank you. Moi is more than a dessert studio; it’s a feeling, a memory, and a little bit of warmth we hope stays with you.
With love,
Niharika
